Way back in 1975 our founder, Thomas McLaughlin, resigned his position in marketing with a pharmaceutical company just north of Chicago and bought a garden center in Fort Myers. He transplanted his family (he had three kids in college and two more in middle school at the time) and began a new career in sunny Florida.

Some of you may remember our stores on US 41 across from Pagefield, in Cape Coral, or off of San Carlos Blvd.

As a family we ran these, successfully branching into lawn feed and pest control in 1986. We added more home services when we acquired Glamour Pools in 1988.

Since Tom retired in 2000, the next generations have been working to keep the business running.

As of August 1, 2023, the landscape portion of the company has been sold to a former employee who is dedicated to maintaining the quality of work people come to expect from us. Glamour pools remains under our ownership.
