Previously in Florida, pool companies were required to be State Licensed proving:

  • experience and knowledge about pools, their care and repair
  • knowledge of and proof of insurance, both liability and workman's compensation
  • annual continuing education
  • fiscal responsibility

Approximately two years ago the requirement pertaining to pool service companies being State Licensed was discarded. Companies or individuals who do pool repairs require a state contractors license.

What does the abandonment of this regulation mean to you as a pool owner?An uninsured worker injured while working on a pool owner's property may have the right to sue the property owner.

Glamour Pools is both licensed and insured, thus removing the worry of litigation against the property owner. As license holders, we are required to complete seven hours of advanced training each year.
